The incumbent Governor of Akwa Ibom State, Umo Eno assumed office in May 2023.
Prior to his governorship, he was a successful businessman in the hospitality industry and also served as the Commissioner for Lands and Water Resources in the previous administration.
His focus as governor includes sustainable development, tourism, and rural prosperity.
