Chris Ngige is a prominent Nigerian politician and medical doctor.
He served as the Minister of Labour and Employment under President Muhammadu Buhari’s administration from 2015 to 2023.
Ngige was also the Governor of Anambra State from 2003 to 2006 and represented Anambra Central Constituency in the Senate from 2011 to 2015.
A medical doctor by profession, he transitioned from a career in civil service, including at the National Assembly and state house clinics, to active politics, initially with the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) before moving to the All Progressives Congress (APC).
