Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya is the current and re-elected Governor of Gombe State, having first assumed office in May 2019.
Prior to his governorship, Yahaya had a distinguished career primarily in the private sector, specifically in finance and business. His background as an entrepreneur and financial expert provided him with a pragmatic approach to governance and economic development.
Before his governorship, he served as the Commissioner for Finance and Economic Development in Gombe State, a role that further sharpened his understanding of public finance and resource management.
As Governor, Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya’s administration has focused on a range of priority areas including infrastructure development, especially rural roads; improving healthcare facilities; enhancing educational standards; and fostering economic growth through agricultural development and youth empowerment initiatives.
He is known for his commitment to fiscal responsibility and his efforts to ensure prudent management of state resources.
Governor Yahaya is a key figure within the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Gombe State and is actively involved in promoting sustainable development and good governance, aiming to improve the welfare and opportunities for the people of Gombe State.
