The AMBO Media Fronts have vehemently denied “malicious” claims that supporters of governorship hopeful Asiwaju Munirudeen Bola Oyebamiji are attacking President Bola Ahmed Tinubu over Davido’s recent visit
The AMBO Project statement has been issued to address “malicious publication[s]” circulating online, which falsely allege that supporters of Asiwaju Munirudeen Bola Oyebamiji (AMBO), the Managing Director/CEO of the National Inland Waterways Authority (NIWA) and a governorship hopeful for the 2026 Osun State election, are attacking President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
These claims specifically link the alleged attacks to the recent visit of music star David Adeleke (Davido) and his uncle, Senator Ademola Adeleke, to the President’s Lagos residence.
In a strong rebuttal, the AMBO Media Fronts have labelled these claims as “false, cruel and mischievous,” asserting their intent is to “demonize our Principal, Oyebamiji, as a desperate politician with lack of spirit of sportsmanship and respect for constituted authority.”
The statement unequivocally declares that “AMBO supporters had/have no reason to attack President Tinubu over a harmless visit to his residence.”
They further condemn the “insanely sponsored accusation” as an injustice to the “Omoluabi values we profess and espouse in our team,” attributing it to a “known politician whose compatriots rejected during the 2022 and 2023 polls.”
The Media Directorate, an integral part of the AMBO Project, affirmed its diligent monitoring of social and digital spaces to ensure all political communications align with their “Rule of Engagement.”
This rule focuses on promoting the qualities of Asiwaju Bola Oyebamiji and the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Tinubu, particularly within the Marine and Blue Economy sector, where the state’s Apex Leader, HE Adegboyega Oyetola, is making significant progress.
The statement highlighted that since media reports of Davido and Senator Adeleke’s visit to President Tinubu, “no member of our team, whether in the media or other directorates, has used his/her space to promote hate speech against our national leader or any leader of the party whatsoever.”
Despite intelligence revealing the identity of the “jealous politician” allegedly behind the “destructive write-up,” and the subsequent escalation of falsehoods by their associates who “pejoratively described AMBO’s governorship aspiration as ‘Dead on Arrival’,” the AMBO team has maintained equanimity.
They expressed trust in the President’s leadership and judgment to be fair to all party faithful eager to replicate good governance in Osun State come 2026.
The AMBO Project insists its approach is “issue-based,” intentionally cultivating quality support both within and outside the party to ensure success in the 2026 gubernatorial contest and the 2027 presidential election.
The statement concluded by reiterating Oyebamiji’s profound admiration for President Tinubu.
It noted his consistent use of his influence as a “celebrated Fellow of Chartered Institute of Bankers of Nigeria and Chartered Institute of Economists” to champion the President’s economic policies since May 2023.
“Anywhere Asiwaju Munirudeen Bola Oyebamiji (AMBO) goes, he goes with the message of the renewed hope agenda of the President,” a message that AMBO supporters have embraced and use on their individual digital platforms to promote the APC administration in Nigeria.
